In this digital world I struggle to unplug and read for entertainment. The Crying Bird has changed that for me. I visualized May's experiences as I have lived through my own similar story. This first book from author E.J. Stillings captures the complicated mess that a relationship between sisters can be. Although I've never known anyone to respond to death the way the character did, I could feel the hope for grace all the way through the book up to the very end. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read, interesting characters and a little bit of craziness!
